What’s New with EPIC: Multifamily Weatherization Features

EPIC continues to be enthusiastically adopted across the ecosystem of energy efficiency project professionals for its ability to help drive sales of higher ticket, higher margin equipment.

New Features

Based on EPIC user requests, we are pleased to announce EPIC’s Multifamily Weatherization features. This new functionality enables EPIC users, in real time, to estimate energy savings and net installed cost for insulation, air sealing and window replacement projects in multifamily buildings.

1. Insulation

   • EPIC now enables users, via Energy Efficiency Project Types > Others, to select from the following menu items:

     

   • Once Insulation is selected and building characteristics, e.g., sq. ft., number of stories, existing and new R-Values, are entered, EPIC estimates energy savings and net installed cost for attic/roof and wall insulation in multifamily projects.

     
     

2. Air Sealing

   • Once Air Sealing is selected, EPIC estimates energy savings and net installed cost for sealing of cracks based on the number of exterior doors and windows, and the building’s condition.

     

3. Window Replacement

   • Once Window Replacement is selected, EPIC estimates energy savings and net installed cost for window replacement projects based on existing and new window types and U-Values.
